Production Arts students were lucky enough to meet and learn from many hair and make-up professionals this term.
Maria Malone, international celebrity make-up artist and Buster Knight, red carpet celebrity make-up artist were both a big hit with the Make-up and Hair for Stage, TV, Film & Fashion classes.
The industry experts held masterclasses with the students, where they were able to learn specialised techniques, top tips and celebrity secrets.
The students were full of praise for the professionals. Renee Tuitt, level 3 student, said: “We found Maria’s workshop a great insight into the creative world of body painting, it was really beneficial to hear about opportunities in the industry.”
Bethany Sheppard, also a level 3 student, said: “Buster was down to earth and gave good advice on ways to make it in this business. He also showed us stunning make-up tricks like contouring that are currently very fashionable.”
Tara Thomas, course leader, said: “It’s so important for the students to meet individuals who are making a successful living in this competitive industry. They provided invaluable advice and it was great experience for the girls and boys getting to work with professionals.”
