Service Industries Student of the Year – Basildon
Ellie, a Level 2 Hairdressing student at the Basildon Campus was described as an ‘excellent learner with excellent attendance’ on her nomination form.
She has already achieved great grades in maths and English but continues to go to classes to help her fellow classmates. She said: “I like to brush up on my maths and English skills plus it’s nice to offer a helping hand to my College friends with the subjects.
“I’ve always tried really hard at College so to be chosen for this award feels incredibly special.”
Once fully qualified, Ellie dreams of using her hairdressing skills to secure a job abroad with the stars. She added: “I’d love to move to LA and style hair for celebrities.”
