Logistics Student of the Year - Thurrock
As a member of the first intake of the College’s unique Logistics course, Lewis has been praised for his consistent standards in his work, his attitude and values.
The 20-year-old from Tilbury joined the then brand new Business, Logistics & Supply Chain course in September 2014 and has been described as a model student. His motivation, behaviour and achievement has been an excellent example for other students to follow.
Tutor Mark Bentley nominated Lewis for the award. He said: “Lewis stood out throughout the two year study programme. It is this type of student that makes the profession a worthwhile and a rewarding choice for a teacher.”
Lewis said he thoroughly enjoyed the course and was delighted to have been recognised.
He said: “Being a new course when I started, I really didn’t know what to fully expect, but it was definitely the right choice for me. The course is fantastic and really hands on with a lot of visits relating to the industry. It has really opened up options for my future.”
