A South Essex College student has put her photography skills to the test completing work experience with Southend United Football Club.
Rhianna Chadwick, 18, from Shenfield, studies Level 3 Photography at the College’s Southend Campus.
She shadowed the team’s photographer during the squad’s game against Scunthorpe United at Roots Hall.
Rhianna really enjoyed the experience and took some great images during the team’s 3-1 win.
She said: “It was great to be out gaining practical experience, it was brilliant and built up my confidence.”
The College’s Sport Maker, Jason Baker, put her in touch with the local team and Rhianna hopes he has lots more opportunities lined up for a keen sport photographer.
She added: “There’s been talk of me covering the Association of College’s National Sport Championships in April and that would be amazing. All this work will go into my portfolio and hopefully help me get a job in the future.
“I’m passionate about sport and photography so these experiences are a perfect combination. I support Chelsea and Real Madrid, my dream is to take photographs for those top teams.”
