New courses are being announced at the new Thurrock Campus of South Essex College in Grays town centre, which opens to students in September 2014.
The Peter Jones Enterprise Academy Level three course in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship is coming to Thurrock, in addition to the successful programme already run at the Southend Campus, which has seen students win several awards and seen them gain successful employment. The fast-track course offers students a full level three Diploma in just one year.
There are also a number of new courses planned that will be exclusive to the Thurrock Campus. The extraordinary growth in the logistics industry in Thurrock, including the new DP World London Gateway port, has resulted in a brand new level three Extended Diploma in Logistics being developed.
There will also be exciting new courses in construction and engineering, an area which has seen a surge in popularity from applicants. New level one courses will be launched in painting and decorating, tiling, flooring & carpeting, plastering and welding. The courses will be open to applications later in January.
New courses:
- Enterprise and Entrepreneurship - Peter Jones Enterprise Academy Level 3 Diploma
- Logistics and Business Level 3 Diploma
- Painting and Decorating Level 1 Diploma
- Tiling, Flooring and Carpeting Level 1 Diploma
- Plastering Level 1 Diploma
